3rd Trip to Cologne

Venue: Cologne Cathedral, Germany

This is my 3rd trip to Cologne. But I would say this trip was rather perfect this time :D Especially the Cologne Cathedral Tour!! It's amazing!!!

Traveled with a “Bland’s family”, Louise and Morris, also with Michael whose his father was our DOM tour guide.

This is the 1st view of the Cathedral – the DOM when you step out from Cologne train station. This is one of the impressive buildings, one of the tallest churches and second tallest Gothic structure in the world. It’s also a church with the largest free swinging bell (known as the St. Petersglocke) in the world.

The step going out to a private tower is amazing. Michael’s father brought us to the tower for the BEST view of cologne.

Here you go, the view of Cologne from the tower i am standing!

I love this view very much indeed, overall the day was wonderful!:D

Best Friend's Wedding

Venue: Singapore, Singapore

One of the reason to have my vacation in July is my best friend's wedding (of course also my dearest mom’s birthday :D, won’t forget that). I purposely bought all new SLR accessories in Singapore, partially is because of her wedding. Initially, I was planning to be her photographer. But, due to my “ji-mui” role, I "forced" to cut down my photographer time on her.

This is the only black and white photo on her and another friend of mine :)

She doesn’t look as slim as she planned to be because of her new “surprises” given by her hubby :) Anyway, wish her happy alwiz….

Königsallee

Venue: Düsseldorf, Germany

I have planned to go Düsseldorf for quite sometimes. The plan was delayed due to non of my friends are interested in this place. Any way, finally make up my mind today. It's took me 1 hour and 31 minutes from Aachen to Düsseldorf, with cost €17.10 (note: this is the cost with Bahn50, for those who don't have, recommended you to get NRW ticket :D)

Flowers along Königsallee :D

I am not talked more on Düsseldorf but Königsallee. Königsallee (nicknamed "Kö" by the locals) is a boulevard in Düsseldorf, Germany. A variety of exclusive and expensive shops can be found on both sides of the waterway, as well as huge department stores and shopping complexes.

The products available range from luxury fur coats to high-end electronics for audiophiles, and the gamut in between. Some of the most reputed jewelry shops, designer labels and galleries have their stores here, such as Cartier, Aigner, Lacoste, Eickhoff, Jil Sander, Benetton, Gucci, Esprit, Laurel, Armani, Chanel, Escada, Hugo Boss, Joop, Kookaï, Prada and many more.

To me, i am more interested in photographing than shopping.

Dom behind Goldschmiede Rüttgers

Venue: Aachen, Germany

The photo of DOM was take in a lovely afternoon.

Aachen is a city in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), Germany. This city is at the point where Germany borders on Belgium and the Netherlands. I have been staying here since this year January.

The Thalys high-speed train connects Aachen with Brussels and Paris. You can get the price as low as €25, but make sure you do the booking at least 2 months before. There are also hourly local trains from Liege.

The nearest large airports are Düsseldorf and Cologne-Bonn. Both airport can be reached by train via Düsseldorf resp. Cologne central station. The trains from Cologne and Düsseldorf run every half an hour; express trains (Regional Express) take about an hour and local trains (Regional Bahn) take 90 minutes. Officially Germany Train Website Bahn.
